I'm a Lazy Mom got this recipe from Lazy Mom Beth, and I found it on Pinterest.
I've been wanting to make a Pecan Pie Cake, but when I looked at the recipe late last night I decided that it was going to have to wait for another time. It was just too time consuming for 9 o'clock at night. I was pooped and ready for bed! I didn't get to bed until almost 11 pm, but who's keeping track.
I just happened to have all of the ingredients for this Lazy Cake Cookie, and it sounded good. Not to mention, EASY!
I followed the instructions to a T, (where did that saying come from anyway?), and the only thing that I noticed that was different about my experience was that I had to leave mine in the oven for approximately 23 minutes instead of 20. Another thing I did was to put foil over it those last few minutes so it didn't brown anymore.
We had a Life Group luncheon at church and I was bringing the dessert. It was a hit! I've now had three pieces, and am leaving the rest for McD. They are very rich, but go wonderfully with a tall glass of milk! They are not great for this girls buttocks (do you hear Forrest Gump say that like I do?), but that is why I am going for a walk.
It is a gorgeous day, get out there and enjoy what the good Lord created!
