Remember the saying, sticks & stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me? I remember it well, but I think as we get older it just doesn't hold water. Sticks & stones may break my bones, but these days words stick like glue, and sometimes hurt more than the broken bones. I mean, think about it. We have pain killers for the broken bones, but hurtful words are hard to forget especially when a person has low self esteem, body image or self image issues.
When I was asked if I wanted to review this book I jumped at the chance. I've gained a lot of weight, and I have a big bottom so it fit...right? Really, I am pretty disgusted with my body image and this book deals with just that. This book sounded like it would tell me how to build self esteem. The only problem was that I didn't have time to read it. Life happened. So, I asked my dear friend, Laura (@lauraclang) if she could read and review it for me.

CAUTION!!! Don’t read this book unless you want to be changed forever! After reading this book I’ll never be able to look at myself in the mirror the same way again. Ms. Cannon starts out the book by sharing her personal struggle with body image and weight loss. Having faced this same struggle myself for most of my life I didn’t expect to learn anything new. However, I was blown away in the first few chapters as I read what I thought were my deepest, darkest secrets written right on the pages. I couldn’t imagine how someone I’ve never met knew the exact conversations going on in my mind. It was very encouraging to find out that I’m not alone in my struggles. I was amazed to discover that the devil uses the same lies on other people.
Ms. Cannon goes on throughout the book to give some amazing insight into how to deal with the lies of the devil and the conversations that go on in our heads. The best part of the book is the final solution she gives. It will truly change your outlook forever! But you’ll have to read the book for yourself to find out what it is!
