And Mia knows it. She hasn't left his side all night.
This morning as I left for work McD told me to make sure I spent a few extra minutes with Hoss. That was all he needed to say because Hoss had a really bad morning. He was not able to straighten up.
He did not want me to leave. He does this thing where he puts all of his weight against me, and just stays there. If I move he would fall.
McD drove all the way home at lunch to check on him. His condition hadn't changed. Then we got home from work and he walked into the house. That was it. His back legs just gave out. I have been staying by his side all night because this will be our last night together. If he makes it through the night, McD will take him to the vet one last time.
